Advance Madison Jefferson County invites you to attend the second in their four part 'prosperity' series featuring, IU Southeast, Professor of Business Administration and Sanders Chair, Uric Dufrene to discuss, Reality Economics: The Truth & Consequences.  Dufrene will help leaders and citizens identify the community's true starting point.  Whats, real, whats not, and what that means for our community.  The Prosperity series is aimed at one particular goal: creating a citizen/government cooperatively generated economic and community development plan.  Dufrene's presentation provides an accurate, unbiased starting point.  Those persons interested in being involved or learning more about community and economic development should attend this important event upon which all follow up presentations will be based.   Dufrenes data will be used in Part 3:  discussing, formulating and agreeing on goals in: Communicating Community Specific Development Planning scheduled for July 2012, and again in Part 4 "Strategic Doing: Actions to Reality" scheduled for early fall 2012 which focuses on implementation and evaluation of of citizen driven development plans.

Building conversations between citizens throughout the area, elected officials, state officials and bridging the gap and flow of information.

What can you get from the site?
The site will encompass a community calendar, area directory, downloads and links to rescources, volunteer opportunities, but also give direction for community converations to encourage the citizens to become as involved as much or as little as they would like on different topics.
